Assistant of the department Dina Koltysheva has successfully completed the professional training program “Biogas and Energetic-Material Biomass Utilization” conducted Bio-H2 Umwelt GmbH Jena Germany within the framework of the develoPPP project “Ukraine Energy Autark” – EPW 4884 / Contract No. 81307968 in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (17-28 November 2025)
Training contents:
- Fundamentals of biogas technology and anaerobic digestion
- Binmass feedsunck analysis, pretreatment and process optimisation
- Practical operation of container-based BIOPOWER systems
- Labonnory methods for biogas analysis, including fermentation procedures, analytical techniques and data evaluation
- Ming, maintenance, safety protocols and troubleshooting
- Eammal vandards and regulatory aspects
- Energy efficiency and sustainability in renewable biomass systems
- Application of decentralised biogas systems in the Ukrainian context
- Preparaformiplier roles in education, training and knowledge dissemination
During the training, intensive research was conducted on raw materials and inoculum for biogas production, and methods of biomass processing were discussed to obtain various products, including fuel pellets, bioplastics, katan etc. Biogas plants were visited and innovative approaches to biomass processing were discussed to increase process efficiency.
Also during the study, an active participation was taken in the discussion of the defense of the master’s thesis, in particular, the discussion of the issue of using exoelectrogenic microorganisms in an inoculum with methanogens.
